Phasing Panel

I know in the 2017 nec section 409.102(B) it tells you how to find the phase. But where can I find the colors for the phases in the code book?

For circuit conductors the NEC specifies only the following:
1. White or gray for grounded, with additional identification if needed to uniquely identify the voltage set the grounded conductor belongs to.
2. For the high leg of any four wire high leg delta circuit, orange.
The rest is a matter of local convention.
And if other ways to identify the voltage and phase are used, you could get away with using one white and the others all black.

Thank you sir!

Just a quick additional note: if you use color to identify voltage system and phase you must use it consistently everywhere and you must post a color code list somewhere, possibly at service disconnect(s) or even at all subpanels.

Thank you for that note

Ive seen a lot of 120/208 marked black, red, blue, white (A, B, C phase, neutral, respectively) and 277/480 marked brown, orange, yellow, grey for A, B, C, neutral.

I found this in my 2014 NEC handbook

That rule only applies if the building has more than one voltage system.
