Found this over at consumerist.com.

So, what do you think? Does the microwave and bath fan trip the OCPD, or is there some sort of shock hazard going on in the bathroom?

My money is that the micro and the bathroom lights are on the same circuit.

Some poor schmoe sits down to, uh, do his business and Carol decides to make popcorn......

Maybe the microwave is IN the bathroom?

Then the restroom would be occupied, and you could never use it.

Then again, I sure wouldn't want to use a nuke machine that's in a restroom anyway....

I had to fix a wall heater in a women's restroom in an insurance office at the beginning of the winter, and the office coffee pot was on the vanity in the women's room. :-? :-?

When I lived in Turkey, we recieved a note from the apartment management.

"Please do not put toilet paper in the toilet as it clogs the heating system"

We never asked we just continued doing the American thing and never seemed to lose heat.

Then there are the warning signs,

Like on that cardboard that goes in the front dash for minimizing heat.

DO NOT DRIVE WITH THIS COVERING THE WINDSHIELD or something close to this.

One I've seen: "Caution - flammable" on a box of candles

But, my favorite: "Intel inside!" ;)

While wiring a cardiologist's office one time, I was timming out the stress-test room. On the counter was a difibrillator. A huge sticker on the unit screamed:

"Warning! Risk of electric shock!"

I thought to myself, 'Um, isn't that what it's supposed to do?"

I have those stickers on an old cordless phone and the refrigerator :D.

(true story: back in the mid-90's, I had to deal with some -really- bad laptops. TI, I think. With Intel procs. They'd overheat so badly that while installing software, I'd usually have to put them in the 'fridge about 10 disks into a 20 disk install.)
