I'm reworking a Mogul base gas discharge "streetlight" to LED.
It has one of those ubiquitous Twist-lock photocells atop it.

Given that a LED does not balk at restarting, we'd like to upgrade to a PIR motion sensor.
Does anyone make such?

With a twist lock base? Umm, no. And why would you use a motion detector on top of a fixture?

They make jumper plugs for that twist lock. Put the motion detector elsewhere- where it will work.

We've considered that. The streetlamp ain't a streetlamp now; it's hung on a barn front facing a driveway so a PIR on top would have a good view of someone coming onto the property.

As Hbiss pointed out, just put in a shorting cap and put the PIR nearby. A lot of fussing around to adapt a PE socket to 1/2" for a PIR
