We have an existing 2500A (480/277V) switchborad with 2500MCB. The owner decided to add PV system that will be tied to the utility grid. We are thinking to add 600A panelboard dedicated for the PV system. This panel will be fed from the main switchbaord with 600A breaker. I heard about the 120% rule per NEC 690.64 but I'm not sure if I understand it well. Could someone please tell if there is any wrong with this design and explain to me this 120% rule? Your help is really appreciated
