Photovoltaic disconnect proximity to pool

What is the closest the PV Disconnect and inverter can be installed to the pool? (it is an outdoor location)

Please provide a code section if the distance is not 5 feet.

There may be no prohibition, although not a good idea.

680.10 allows for wiring closer than 5' (in a complete raceway system).

Hello Ron,

It may not be a good idea, but I do not find any code section that prohibits the disconnect from being 5ft from the pool/hot tub.

They had actually installed the disconnect at 3ft. I mentioned 680.22(D) - NEC

An inspector told me he thought that 680.22(E) had to be complied with. I disagree.
The FPN following the section and the ROP state this section was added for Fire Alarm, Communications, etc...
