Art 334 covers NM, NMC, and NMS.
"Type NMS. Insulated power or control conductors with signaling, data, and communications conductors within an overall nonmetallic jacket."
I believe NMS is the product that was used in Art 780, which was deleted from the 2008 NEC. The idea was the branch circuit was de-enrgized until a load is plugged in, the NMS sends a signal to the circuit breaker to turn on.
(Note: In a way, similar to what the AFCI does)
Has anyone ever installed NMS? Does anyone have a picture they could post?
