Theres a thread of pictures from the field, but not one for pictures from the shop.
Apparently when I ordered a generator last year I failed to order it with camlock connectors installed. Thing has to go out on a job tomorrow so I had to move quick. Fortunately I had enough stuff on hand to make this happen. Cut a plate out of 1/8" aluminum on my CNC plasma cutter, powder coated it black (I didn't have any grey to match the generator) using a radiant propane heater because it wouldn't fit in the toaster oven I use for small powder coat stuff. (I highly recommend getting a small cheapo powder coat setup if you find yourself constantly spray painting brackets and such). Mounted camlock connectors and covers, mounted it in the generator in place of the factory blank panel. Made some cables from 2ga type SC (190A ampacity vs 175a breaker on generator) with lugs crimped on. Had to cheat a bit because the 1/2 lugs I had wouldn't fit the metric studs on the generator terminals so I had to enlarge the holes with a step bit. Got it all put together and now I'm good to go.
