Had a question asked today. Is there a problem, code wise or listing, in cutting or lengthening the pig tail on a GFCI or ach fault breaker in a panel?

No quite often it cannot be installed without adding a length of conductor to it. Splices are permitted in panels. {312.8}

Thanks . I have looked at the three major brands Sqd, Ge, and Eaton, and installation instructions do not mention either way. makes for a neater job if that are cut to fit.

You might want to check SqD - I remember reading something about not lengthening the pigtail on their GFCI breakers. Shortening, no problem.
