A buddy asked me to re-wire a short stand alone work light that was labeled a Pyle on one part and Pylet on the other. It looks pretty old but structurally in good shape. It has a large base for the lamp and is made of some sort of thick metal. Can someone tell me about this type of light. Should it be wired for 120v? What kind of bulb does it take? Any info would be appreciated.

When I first say "Pylet light", I was sure I was going to see a question about 'pilot lights'. My apologies, and welcome to the forum! :)

I would imagine that you should be able to figure it out by taking apart what you can or need to, and make sure the bulb matches the source you intend to use it on, and make sure there is no ballast or transformer to consider.
