I have 3 fixtures I have to install at a new restaurant, it’s a vaulted pitch ceiling. Any recommendations on how to frame something up, I’ve only found the plastic fan boxes that would work but not sure if there are rated for commercial use

Your post doesn't provide much info. What type of fixture. Are these really going on the roof or on the ceiling?

There is no commercial vs residential rating of boxes.

3 chandeliers pendent light weight, going on a the peak of the ceiling so sloped isn’t an option due to fixture style. I agree with what you’re saying about commercial/residential, but the only boxes I could find that sort of box out for the drywall to go around and where it steps down like a square are plastic. Ushally plastic doesn’t where I’m from. Least for inside Mc cable run.

I was going to suggest the Arlington box kit, but yes, it is plastic. You could cut it to minimal size for your ceiling and have the dry-waller wrap it using adhesive, or mimic one using wood and drywall.

The framers and/or finish carpenters always create the flat mounting area on my projects. I'll tell them how wide the area must be for the canopy and leave a 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" deep 4/0 metal box. I'll bring the wire in when they are done.
