Hello,
I have a retrofit project coming up where we are trying to save some money on electricity for a retail store. There are approx 50 wall washers we would like to convert from florescent to LED. The wall washers are L-track mounted Lightolier and look like this:
They are 2 foot long and use 2 x 40 watt PL-L 2G11 florescent bulbs. The ballasts are rapid start. Philips makes a direct conversion bulb but it only works on instant start ballasts. Any ideas on how to easily convert these?
I found a replacement bulb that requires rewiring and removing the ballast =
My other thought was to replace the ballast with a small 12v power supply and run 5630 LED strip light back and forth inside each washer.
