Plaster Ring

When you have 2 layers of rock like this you need a deeper plaster ring, correct? That's what i usually figure...1.25" etc.
What do you guys use?

Yes, if you're there to install it before the drywall is up; otherwise, you'll need a box extender.

I usually select a plaster ring 1/8" deeper than the drywall, to allow for the 8-32 screw-heads.

Yes 1.25" plaster ring, tile cover, adapter cover, for 5/8+5/8=1¼", call it what you want.
