I'm a one man company and I'm tired of fighting with pulling/pushing conductors through LB's and looking to make it easier, so I went looking on line for plastic Mogul LB's and could not locate any plastic ones.

I have all those gadgets and bending bars that suppose to make the pulls smooth and without effort but it is still a fight.

Does any company make plastic/non-metallic Mogul LB's.

I assume you need a 2" PVC LB that is mogul style. We have, on occasion used a 3" LB with reducers-- it helps alot

Yes, yesterday I push/pulled through 4 PVC LB's. Worked hard at not nicking the wire. Nicked my hands up though!

What size LB and conductors? We use these for larger conductors:

1-1/4" PVC LB's and #2 four plex URD.

I'm guessing but it sounds as if your LB's are too small and don't meet the minimum NEC size. That could be part of the problem, so you may need to go with a larger LB and use reducers as Dennis mentioned. I've never seen a Mogul style PVC LB.

I can agree with that but I don't like the looks of up-sizing the LBs. I know it is no excuse. I'm to concerned with looks, once again no excuse.

Just saying if there were PVC Mogul LBs it would make it a lot easier to work with and look prettier! :)

Not many options -- use a metal mogul and put a ground screw in it or use metal raceway from the panel or meter to the LB.

Here is a mogul LB

I'm gonna be Captain Obvious here: most of the time, pulling wire is a 2 man job. Get a helper or a kid from the neighborhood that can use some extra money. All the gadgets in the world do not beat another set of hands.

I have never seen a PVC mogul LB. Good idea though. You would think that somebody like Arlington or Garvin would do a thing like this as they both come up with some pretty cool stuff.

I didn't recommend buying gadgets.

I'm just trying to work smarter and if there is a product that could make the process faster, easier and without damage to the wires I'll try it, rather than trying to find some kid for help.

Would the way I stated be any different than if we used an lb that was the same size as the conduit? I have never supported the LB just the pipe that attaches to it.

Because 352.10(H) requires oversized conduit bodies to be supported.

Yes, I agree and a bit surprised that they don't exist.

Personally, the PVC moguls type would be the ones I would buy.

Interesting, is there a code complainant way to secure an oversized LB without going to hell and back? Like drilling holes in the back and screwing them to whatever?

Put a strap over the whole LB after putting the cover back on. Then unscrew the strap if you ever need access. The LB has to be accessible, not readily accessible, and a strap is not part of the building finish.

If the inspector says the LB has to be secured before you pull wire into it, then strap it and remove the strap for the pulling operation.
