plastic wrapping in mc cable

the wrapping between the outer jacket and the wires, what is proper installation, does that plastic get trimmed or pull outside of connector. i use it to hold red head in but id like to hear what others do.

I try to leave it on, under the anit-short, and trim it off after I slide on the connector. I figure it's just another barrier between the wire and the metal sheath.

It can be cut flush with the armor.

Does any one have any problems nicking the conductors when using the quick style snap in connectors for MC or AC

I think it might of happened to me once when I forced it... So now I don't force it.
I uselessly just pull at the plastic till the armor cuts its. It drives me crazy hanging off the end of cable... I think I used it once to snap a connector into the box from the inside.
