Adding a A/C unit to a PLC cabinet. Looking to put a fused disconnect near the cabinet. Curious to what size circuit breaker and fused disconnect I should use. It is 120V, 10.1 max nominal current, with 39.2 Starting Amps. Please let me know your thoughts or where to reference in the NEC. Thanks

Your a/c unit nameplate should have minimum circuit ampacity (MCA) and maximum overcurrent protection on it.
Also unless you just want too there is no need for a fused disconnect at the unit. Just a disconnecting means.

+1

I would also recommend article 440 from the NEC.
