For myself and the employees i work with, i would like suggestions for a good programmable logic controller textbook/training. Please help me out.

A low cost and good text is Allen Bradly Micro Mentor, order from AB dealer with that name, about $15.00. Its written around the Micrologix PLCS
You can get a Micrologix starter kit for about $150 and it includes a copy of AB Micrologix starter software.
The next step up would be ATPs books on PLCs.
But for PLC training it must be hands on. Check with your dealer to see if they offer training, keeping in mind its $300 to $500 a day.
