Hello All,
I'm trying to buy a GE 60A 2 pole breaker that fits this existing residential 240/120V 100A single phase 3 wire panel (some circuit rearrangement will be made to make room for the 60A feeder breaker, and I already did the load calculations for the main panel).
Thanks a lot.

Would this residential Q line breaker work?

Amazon has this thin one but only 50A (it seems to me in the FAQ says they don't have/make the 60A thin version).

I think your picture is showing a Zinsco panel and breakers, not General Electric. Could be wrong though.

P3190082.JPGIt's GE per the enclosure
Also where could I buy the 20A tandem breaker?

Don't know why the cover would be GE but that is definitely a Zinsco panel. GE breakers will not fit. You need Zinsco breakers.

Ge/Sylvania as well as Challenger used those breakers. I think that is a piggy back unit.

Oh it also looks like there is no main breaker and thus too many handles.

It was GTE Sylvania, not GE, but that is a very early Zinsco panel that is well past it's prime.

GTE bought Zinsco Electrical Products in 1973, & rebranded them as Sylvania.

correct, but have no idea why the cover on OP's panel has raised lettering that says "General Electric" - look hard at the picture it is there.

After looking at it again, someone needed a new cover for the Zinsco, so they beat a GE cover flat. Handyhack strikes again.

Yes. That is exactly what the photos show. Zinsco breakers on a Zinsco bus. The "General Electric" on the cover can't change the fact of the guts.

Time for a replacement. Or handle ties.
Handle ties won't change when that thing contributes to starting a fire:D

but if one wants to shut off all power and knows there should only be six disconnecting means I suppose they turn off six of them and then sit there wondering if they need to turn off any others, right:huh:
