Is there a NEC compliant (300.22b) flexible metal conduit product that is plenum rated and yet moisture proof?

Thanks for your input.

I see that there is actually a product called flexible metallic tubing! I do not know that I have ever seen it. I ass u me d that FMT was meaning any flexible metallic tubing i.e. flex or lfnc?

The typical "greenfield" or "flex" is flexible metal conduit. This is typically constructed of a wound metal strip and is more flexible then flexible metal tubing.

Here is a picture of FMT.

DWP,

Are you right inside of a duct or a manafactured plenum ? , if not 300.22(C)

is the article for above a drop cieling type air handling purpose.

This is inside of a large air handler.

If you are under the 2005 NEC, FMC is permitted to be installed in wet locations provided that the conductors installed within the flex are approved for the specific location and the flex is installed so that liquid is not likely to enter raceways or enclosures to which the conduit is connected. (See 348.12(1) 2005 NEC)

300.22(B) does permit FMC to be used in lengths not to exceed 4 feet to connect to physically adjustable equipment and devices permitted to be installed in these ducts or plenum chambers.
