In the Chicago code it is required to use compression EMT fittings in plenum spaces. Is this true of the 2014 NEC? I cannot seem to find any specific mention of fittings or boxes in the NEC. Along with this, is plenflex required for fixture whips?
 
I don't believe compression fittings in a plenum is an NEC issue. Chicago has many of it's own requirements that no one else has to deal with.
