plug fuses

Hi.

Just reading the over the NEC article 240. Please tell me what plug fuses are and when they are used (as opposed to 'regular' fuses). Also, pleasd tell me what is 'Edison' base and type 'S'.

A plug fuse is either an Edison base or Type S fuse. The Edison base fuses have the same base as a standard incandescent lamp. The Type S fuses are the screw in type that have different square threads based on the amperage so they are not interchangeable.
