Just what all is a poco responsible for ? if a poco transformer blows up and a factory is without power or replacement for 5 days are they liable for the cost of huge generators and fuel ? One blowed up yesterday and the fuel is 5,000 gal per day plus rental of gen

I believe that they are responsible only for getting the power back as fast as can be reasonably and safely achieved.

Jim power is not some thing required it is purchased.Say the corner store is with out milk can they be sued since someone had to make powdered milk because refrigeraters went out and spoiled the real thing ??Big companys have disaster insurance the little guy . . .

We never guarantee electric service, we can't. if you need guaranteed service, you will have to provide it yourself. Hospitals, radio and TV stations, electric utilities, and other businesses that feel like they must have power will provide backup for themselves. Yes, we have onsite generation at our operations center in order to provide power to ourselves in the case of a widespread outage. :D
