Pool Equipment GFCI protection

Is all 220V pool associated equipment required to be GFCI protected? Including 220V pumps, 220V automatic cleaner pumps and 220V heat pumps? None of these loads require the nuetral at the equipment.

Generally, if its hard wired, you don't need GFCI protection. Cord-and-plug, then most things do. Some light fixtures also must be GFCI'd.
