pool equipment room

i am having trouble finding a clear answer. What is required as far as panel boards and disconnects for a pool equipment room when pool chemicals are stored in the room also? Inspector is asking for something i can not verify in the code.

Any input would be appreciated.

You will not find an answer directly in the Code. You need info on the type and volume of chemicals store and the volume of the room. If there is a decent volume of chemicals you might well need the assistance of an engineer.
I can tell you from experience, if there are chlorine relate products, over a period of time they will definitely attack your panels.

Pool chemicals should be stored in a separate structure. They are highly problematic for storage with anything electrical. Contact with organic material (paper, cloth, wood, etc) in the presence of water (around a pool? who knew??) can cause a fire. Said fire will only be exacerbated by the application of your standard ABC dry chemical extinguisher, and water is out of the question. Storage in the electrical room is asking for bad things to happen. Probably within a couple or three seasons.
