Pool GFCI

I have a customer that wants his pool control box on a GFCI breaker because a 220V relay burned up and fried the mother board and it cost him a lot of money to replace. It has a 30 Amp 2-pole breaker feeding it but they didn't run a neutral. Is there a way to hook up a GFCI breaker with out a neutral or if I add a neutral how would I tie it in if it's not needed. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

A two pole GFCI breaker will work fine.

The breaker will have to be connected to the panels neutral but there need not be a neutral going to the tub.

And what they ^^^^ said.

For reference only, These DO require a neutral.. if anybody here uses this brand of GFI disconnect for hot tubs...

How are those better/cheaper than a GFI breaker?

I saw those at a supply house I rarely visit last month, and I know there is a contractor in that thing, along with the special Leviton "high amperage" gfi unit, along with a pull out disco...

What is wrong with a 50A GFI breaker?

PS I'm not picking on you or you post, I am curious if anybody out there knows why these things came to market?
