I guess the question I needed to ask was, is this the load side of a GFCI circuit or the line side of a GFCI circuit that you are running with a non GFCI circuit?

If it's the load side, the answer is still simple, no! 680.23(F)(3) not 680.23 What you are running it to is inconsequential.......

Please provide a code reference. 680.23 covers requirements for underwater pool lighting. I don?t see any reference to lighting in George?s post.
