Pool Grounding

So they have poured the concrete wall for my pool and I see the rebar.

Where do I find all the grounding/bonding requirements? Straight forward I hope. Me and my bro in law were just going to run circuit for pump and another for receptacle. Forgot about grounding. Thank you.
 
Read 680.26 This will cover parts to be bonded. Make sure and bond your rebar at (4) points and those points need to be between 18" and 24" from the inside walls of the pool. I usually just use Kearneys to attach the #8 SDBC to the rebar. Anything metal associated with the pool...... ladders, wet niche fixture shells, pool equipment metal casings, etc... Once you do a few of them it's really easy and really good $$$$$$$.

Not all split bolts are listed for use in concrete.

The pool contractors know these bonding codes. They do it all the time. But since the inspection falls on us electricians, we have to double-check them. Usually they will tag the ladders, conductive shell, and rebar and leave you a fairly long tail of #8 SDBC to hit all of your pool equipment. Something I did learn a long time ago about pool lights. If the cord is any color other than black, its a low voltage light. Black cord, 120v light. Not so much an issue anymore as pools built today don't have many wet niche fixtures.
