Pool hot tub bond

Hi,

Looking at a job, 50A 240v circuit to a hot tub.

The customer is looking to place the hot tub on pavers that butt up to an in ground pool

The tub will be about 3’ from the pool edge.

The tub is a self contained unit. I feel that the hot tub needs to be bonded back to the pool equipment.

Is my thinking correct?

Without even looking into code I will say it definitely needs bonded to pool bonding system. Last thing you want is a difference in potential between the hot tub and anything else around it or the pool when they are basically within reach of one another.
