I know both a pool and outdoor spa/hot tub have to have an equipotential bond around them.

What I'm not sure of is if you have both in close proximity, do the two have to be tied together.

The pool is non conductive and has no rebar or metal so I have to put a #8 bare ground around the pool.

There will be a hot tub close by and it will also have a #8 around it.

Do I need to run a bond wire from one to the other?

Forget code for a moment and ask yourself if you are able to touch both at same time would you want to be subjected to any voltage that may be present?

I don't think they will be close enough that you could touch both at the same time.

I don't know why you would unless the epb around one is also used for the other.

It would be hard to circle both the pool and spa with one perimeter wire.
They will be close but the layout would prevent one wire around both.

It won't be a problem to tie the two together, just wanted to know if it's required.
