Pool light in water return

Has anyone else hooked one of these on an above ground pool wall? It is a light that is integral to the water return but is completely dry. There is a clear barrier and a lense around the return. The low voltage socket snaps onto the back of the unit behind the water hose hookup. They come with a long secondary side and a short 120 volt cord and plug. They are completely plastic with a water tight switch on the transformer.
There are even instructions on how to hard wire the unit.
It seems to me it fits the description in 680.33 but that is for storable pools. These lights are for permanent pools.
I can't get a valid handle on where they are refrenced.
Does the receptacle required need conduit all the way home? IMO I don't think so. As long as the receptacle for it is more than 10' from the pool.
Any opinions.

Re: Pool light in water return

I have encountered these lights. But they are designed for storaable pools, as you have mentioned.

Even if the pool is "permanently" installed, (such as within a deck) the return lines are basically made out of flex hose, and as such, can be integrated into the hole in the side of the pool, along with the light fixture.

Those lights are 12 Volt, fed from a "wall wart" transformer, and are quite safe as far as I can tell.
