I’m going to rephrase this question in hopes to get a response if anyone has any feedback much appreciated.

Does anyone have a suggestion based on what an inspector may prefer to see on above ground pool pump gfci requirement?

Recommended to use a gfci breaker or dead face gfci before time clock or dead face gfci after time clock?

Or out at pool, dead face gfci to a toggle switch to twist lock receptacle for pump? Or is toggle switch not req’d?

I believe there were studies done with gfci receptacles in wet locations that showed they needed replacement often. I know a dead front is different but I would be worried that it would fail more often than a gfci breaker.

This must be a 120 pump....Imo, I would want the best protection possible and I would use a breaker as little bill suggested

I'd prefer it in the breaker panel too, unless the panel is not in a convenient location relative to the pool.
