in a pool pump test what should my resistance reading between the 2 l1 and L2 leads be? , I tested a not working pump yesterday and read 0 .

You are looking at the winding of the motor so you are only reading the resistance of the wire. If you put your meter leads together you should read like .3 ohms. Then measure the motor and you will probably get .5 ohms. Subtract your lead resistance from the motor resistance and you will have the ohms of the windings.

You should see close to 0 ohms. If you got a high resistance then you could guess that the winding burned up.
