Pool pumps require dedicated circuit?

A customer asked me if we can run lights off an above ground pool pump circuit. Do they usually require dedicated circuit? Thanks

If this meets the definition of above ground pool then I don't know of anything in 680 that would require a separate cir for the pump however there are rules in 210 that may dictate what you can do.

210.23(A)

(2) Utilization Equipment Fastened in Place. The total rating
of utilization equipment fastened in place, other than luminaires,
shall not exceed 50 percent of the branch-circuit ampere
rating where lighting units, cord-and-plug-connected utilization
equipment not fastened in place, or both, are also supplied.

I always thought this odd especially since hydromassage tubs require a separate circuit.
