Existing pool. I cannot find anything in 680 prohibiting me from splicing the #8 bond wire. And as far as conduit depth. I guess table 300.5 does not apply, I must use 680.10 even if a 4" concrete slab is above my 3/4" sch 40 PVC?

Use approved split bolts for the bond and there should be no problems. I guess the concrete makes no difference here.

When the slab around the pool was ripped up, the conduit for the pool equip and light were installed just under the slab. This conduit is now damaged due to the demo. My boss says that is how it was always installed. In gonna call the insp in the morning and see what he says. Code shows 18" deep.

I got clarification on the conduit depth. Table 300.5 is what I am allowed to use since my conduit will only carry circuits for the pool equip. Now I need to know where I can get an approved splice for direct burial. And I may have to make a 3 way splice depending on where the ladder will be located. Any ideas? This splice is for the #8 bond wire.

Many split bolts are listed for db. The copper ones, of course.
