I want to know if it's ok to run romex instead of conduit to the pool pump,heater ect? The pool is inside a new addition & the equipment is on the other side of the wall outside. It would be within 5' where the romex would stub out of the wall but seperated by the drywall. sec 680-21 seems to want conduit used. If this is so, WHY?
