Portable generator neutral bonded/floating neutral

I have seen many posts regarding generators with neutral bonded to frame and whole house wiring. All posts generally explain how you have to remove the neutral/ground jumper to convert the portable generator to a floating neutral. It is actually a service bulletin from Honda. While kicking this around with some tech's one floated the idea of installing an amp applicable spst toggle
Switch with a lockout frame. Switch closed neutral bonded to frame, switch open floating neutral. I couldn't seem to convince him otherwise. Any body have an opinion on this.

In addressing the "floating neutral issue, thew using the portable generator ot provide power to a home where the utility source os power has been insulated an isolated from the sevice entrance is not the neutral at the SE panel still grounded with a ground rod and all of the EGCs attachd ot the then grounded neutral bar?
If so, when you run your neutral of the generator to the neutral bar of the SE panel it is also grounded at that single point. When the ground of the gen set is insolated and isolated from the gen set neutral the ground of the gen set is run back to the SE panel and attached to the grounded neutral bar. As such the generator neutral is in fact grounded and the gen set ground is also grounded which is done at the SE panel is not left floating. Doing so prevends the NEUTRAL from being grounded both at the gen set and the SE panel. If you ground the neutral at more than one point any neutral current will be turnerd loose on the EGC creating a hazarous condition which is a code violation.
Please note that this is a verfy basic description of connecting a gen set to an SE panel. The application should use a UL listed means either by an interlock of transfer switch and not simply opening a main disconnect and backfeeding the panel with the gen set which violates the NEC.

I think at least one generator has that switch installed by the factory.

What about 250.28 (C) it refers you 250.8 (A) which has nothing about a switch being permitted. Also if the generator were to be installed and used as a SDS then I think 250.30 (A)(1) would also come into play.
