Powder coating is a durable and wear-resistant surface finish that can be applied to a wide variety of metal parts. When it comes to electrical safety and hazardous locations, there are specific considerations for powder coating processes.

Doing an inspection for the CSLB, as usual no permits. The warehouse has two services 240 Volts 3 Phase and 240/120 Volts Single Phase. The company that constructs these types of enclosures left it to the owner of the building to hire and Electrical Contractor to do the wiring. The electrical contractor ran emt from these services without circuit breakers to the enclosure control panel, definitely a problem.

My understanding is that outside the boundary of this enclosure only requires standard wiring practices ? .

This is the main panel providing power to this warehouse. From my research they were manufactured around 1950. Just taking a picture of them was very scary.
