Hey guys,
I bought a 240 VAC concrete grinder with a built-in transformer that takes 240 VAC single or three phase and transforms it to 480 VAC three phase. Now, I can hook up to residential 120VAC (240VAC "single phase") by using a double breaker and split-leg (3-phase) 240VAC. I am curious if I can hook-up to a 480VAC 3 phase circuit by only using one of the three legs and the ground since this will provide 240VAC single phase. Any ideas?
