Looking for some input here. House has been rewired. All lights, receptacles and outside receptacle for half of the house are on the same GFCI/AFCI
combo breaker. Consequently, when the outside receptacle trips the breaker all of the lights (and receptacles) lose power. I don't believe this is a code violation (I could be wrong), but I've not seen it before and I am concerned that if someone is using a weed whacker in the backyard and trips the circuit, there is no light or power in half the house. What do you guys think?

As far as the Code is concerned, with the exception of the SA kitchen and dining, bath receptacles and a few others, everything else could be on one circuit. I don't think anybody would do that but it sounds like this guy came close.

You might make a case that 210.11(B) would prohibit that, but if the house is 1600 square feet or less of floor area, it may be in compliance.
