power cable through crawlspace

I am running power cable to a barn from the house panel. To reduce the distance I will be running it through a 3' crawl space under the house then out to the trench. The floor is dirt. What does the code require in this situation - can i just run the UG cable on the ground - or attach it to the floor joists? (no room to dig under there)

What type of UG cable. Is it UF or URD,XHHW,RR??? UF-attach to joist. URD,XHHW,RR-has to be in conduit inside.
