Power distribution splice block with small tap terminal

Hello,

I have a piece of equipment that has a main terminal block for terminating the power feed. The line side terminals need to be 250mcm minimum. The load side of the block then continues the wires to feed he internal components. So this is just a standard splicing power distribution block.

My issue is that the manufacturer needed to tap some small power wires (14-10awg) off of these incoming feeds and just tried to tap these out of the same terminals as the 250mcm but putting them under the lug screw. This has obviously cause issues because those wires become loose.

Does anyone know of a distribution block for 250mcm in and 250mcm out, which also has some small tap points on the load side. I'm thinking there might be a modular product that bolts on to the large block and allows these types of small taps.

Thanks

Some mfrs provide what it called a "transformer tap" screw connection for small wires to feed PTs or CPTs from the main lugs.

What they did was illegal unless the lug specifically states that you can do that, and none of them do...

Illegal or not there is an abundance of terminal blocks with smaller taps in generating plants. Lots of sensors for lots of stuff. IIRC, not all of it is for sensors either.
