I am a Retired EE, Lehigh U class of 74, Live on my boat in Florida. The Marina I am in have floating docks, 408 three phase, with a step down transformer on each dock, the dock has man holes about 2'X 3' and 10" deep, carlon conduit with no terminal ends or bushings, conductors are split buged together with 3m rubber sheets and then tapped, also run in the same conduit is Telephone and cable TV. there is about 6" of water in the man holes with no gaskets or lock downs for the covers. Some how the Marina owner doesn't think that this is a problem. I almost for got in bad weather the moves up and down in a waving motion and the conductors insulation wears off and start on fire!! Does anyone elese think this is not a aproved installation, and a tad unsafe?
