Power Factor Requirement

HI Friends，Is there any power grid or others requirement for new building 13.2KV-480V/277 sustation power factor in Massachusetts?Is this mandatory or optional?Thanks.

There are multiple power companies serving Mass. and they may have differing requirements. Typically, many utilities require a PF of 0.90 lagging or higher but that can also depend on the rate structures for a given location or customer.
