What would be a realistic power factor value to use in planning a new service to an acute care hospital; +-600,000 square foot.

You will need to provide alot more info before anyone can give you a ballpark value. Lets start at 0.5 - 1.0 and narrow it down from there.

Most utilities will penalize you for a PF lower then 0.85 lagging. I would start there. It has always been a good rule of thumb.
