Off topic: I like the beer analogy to understand power factor. Pour a beer, the head is the power factor. But the POCO can only charge for the liquid part and the foam does you no good at all.

Efficiency = power output/power input

Amps = 746*HP/V*1.732*eff.*PF (assume perfect efficiency?)

Table 430.250 far right side of table - as stated above - see the * for 90% = 1.1 multiplier referrence.

Perfect power factor is 1 so I see your question mryan. Good luck.
