Power poles in open warehouse

What is the best way to do this?

We use iron tube in our manufacturing facility. I believe we used 3x3x3/16 but any size/ shape that fits your needs will work. We weld a 10x10 plate top & bottom, redhead it to the floor and weld to a strut spanning the bar joists.

Unistrut is available in 20' lengths, maybe not as pretty as a power pole, but you have lots of options if you use strut.

You need to be careful when attaching poles from the floor to the roof bar joists or trusses.
the roof moves up and down if there is a snow load on it.
your supports need to slide to allow for this movement.

The next pipe size up makes a nice sleeve. Here's it's not snow, but wind that causes a roof to move up and down.
