Can anyone recommend good Prep books to help prepare me to take the
Electrical PE Exam? Thank you in advance.
Electrical PE Exam? Thank you in advance.
Okay, What's "PE"?
DOE Engineering Fundementals, you can download all the DOE engineering books, everything from electrical power to heat transfer and fluid flow is covered.
The guy that stamps those drawings you follow.
Is that what you used ZOG? Thank you for the reply.
The Electrical Engineering Reference Manual is a very good book both for studying and for taking with you to the test.
There are also sample test questions and flash cards you can get that match the Reference Manual if you want.
Look around on this website: http://ppi2pass.com/ppi/PPIShop_ct_ELECTRICAL&idx=0
I'll second that. You want the "Electrical Engineering Reference Manual" from PPI. Its about $170. You also want about 1 year to study it, and you might also want some of the problem books.
You also want this book as one of your reference books for the actual exam.
When I took the PE, there seemed to be a large focus on fault calculations (but I think the focus changes from exam to exam). And this book only had a few pages on that subject. That was the only thing that wasn't in this book (other than a few NEC problems).
So two essential references for the PE: The PPI reference book, and the NEC.

There's also a PE forum to answer PE level questions...
Google away
Where is it?
I want to thank all of you for your responses. I happen to know
a Patent lawyer that highly recommended the PPI books. That's
what he used for his ME. I asked what study was more difficult
the ME or Law degree. He said ME,so I,m thinking I 'm screwed lol.
Well at least I think I'm on the right path to passing this exam.
Thank You All very much.
