Hey guys I am new to the forum and would like to reach out to anyone who has taken the Texas journeyman exam.

My questions are. What do I need to focus on to successfully pass this exam? Do I need to memorize the entire power wheel? What calculations to focus on? Etc.

Any help and advice would be terrific!

Thanks

Greetings,

Now I help write that test for Texas so I will not give any unfair insight into the test. I will however say that it follows the PSI standard model very closely. The test does follow the question structure of the PSI very well and all questions are designed to be specific within the PSI bulletin structure. It is one of the tests where skipping all basic calculations will not help you so understand the basics and just be sure to be able to maneuver around the NEC well...label your book with taps....very beneficial aspect.

Here is the bulletin and the question breakdown. https://candidate.psiexams.com/bull...actionname=83&bulletinid=350&bulletinurl=.pdf

Wish I could be more helpful but thats about all I can say...Good Luck !
