I wear prescription glasses, and I can say over the years they have kept a lot of stuff from going in my eyes. But, they don't seem to afford the same protection as safety glasses. I know side shields offer a little more protection, but nothing I'm ovely comfortable with.

Eventually, I would like to get Lasik or something like that done, but in the meantime, can I get prescription-lensed wraparound safety glasses?

Re: Prescription glasses

Yes, I worked with a guy that had prescription safety glasses/goggles. I think he puchased them through a mail order service.

Re: Prescription glasses

I wear them all the time. They are like regular glasses with the side shield attached. Any place that makes glasses will have some line of saftey glasses.

"Titmus" s the name of the company who makes the vast majority of OSHA approved safety frames. Google on Titmus for more info.

Re: Prescription glasses

Find a Walmart with an optical center....they have them. Just take your prescription in. Last pair I bought, bifocal, were about $40. total for lenses and frames.
