I installed one in my bathroom for the exhaust fan, and it seems like the fan is running slower? Maybe I should buy one of those timers you just turn the knob?

Try bypassing the timer while it's running; if there's a difference, you'll hear it.

That's what we have on all our bath fans. 60 minutes max.
