Ive got a house that has a laundry list of problems and just want to get a fair idea of time involved to determine price (1)driving 2 ground rods and running a piece of #8 bare (2) changing a 40a breaker to a 30a breaker (3)running 20ft of 10-2 and 10-3 to same area for water heater and dryer overhead (4)mounting ac disco and carflexing to unit (5)demo a small disco under subpanel (6) adding a heater disco (7)fishing microplug wire down wall into existing cabinet using a 4sq box (8)adding 2 plugs in kitchen (9)adding fan box and relocating fan (10)changing out 2 cheap lights for chandiler and track light owner provided thanks for your feedback

Driving ground rods can be as quick as a couple of minutes, or take an hour or more, depending on soil conditions.

I think that #8 bare requires some sort of physical protection, so you might want to consider using #6 ...

i'd say a day and a half..im sure you'll run into some kind of snag...say 14hours labor..plus whatever else you charge...$1050 in labor...

why? #6 requires protection too...gotta go up to #4 ....

yeah I meant a #4 dont know why I posted 8 we only use 8 to bond coldwater if copper sorry for the confusion

Depends on service size. For 200a, #4cu to water.

#6 does not need protection if you attach it to the building structure. As long as that area is free from physical damage.

Remember, it is always wise to call Dig Safe before you go driving a 10' ground rod around a service entrance.

Way to many things can enter in to this. When was the house built? (Plaster lath or sheet rock) Crawl space, basement full of stuff or easy access.
